1869 Peck & Snyder Red Stocking B.B. Club of Cincinnati PSA Authentic

EARLY DAYS FIND!!! One of only six graded by PSA. This one, like all of the ones graded, has been graded Authentic. Many collectors consider this card to be the first true baseball card in that it was produced in large quantities and offered to firms wishing to place their advertising on the back.

The 4 3/16ths x 3 5/16ths card features a sepia team photo on front of baseball's first real professional team, including Hall of Famers George and Harry Wright. On this oversized format, the players are identified on the front with the name in black or red (slightly scarcer) type at the bottom of the card. The back of this one has the caricature of a bearded player and Peck & Snyder advertising information.
