1971-72 Topps Basketball Near-Set – Missing Only #29 Archibald
The 1971-72 Topps Basketball 233-card set combined the National Basketball Association players (#s 1-144) and the American Basketball Association players (#145-233) to produce one large colorful issue of the top tier in professional basketball. Offered is a very fresh looking near-set that appears uncirculated, for the most part, but is downgraded due to centering and about 60% of the cards showing a light "touch" at one or two corners. The corners likely wouldn't be so apparent if the set itself didn't appear so fresh looking. Hall of Famers and stars include #s: 1 Robinson (EX+, slightly oversized and miscut), 2 Bradley (NM), 10 Baylor (NM), 20 Haywood (NM), 30 Reed (NM), 35 Havlicek (EX-MT o/c), 47 Cowens (NM), 50 West (EX-MT due to centering), 55 Maravich (NM), 63 Lanier (EX), 65 Frazier (NM), 70 Chamberlain (EX-MT), 80 Wilkins (EX), 91 Tomjanovich (EX), 100 Alcindor (EX-MT) & 130 Monroe (EX-MT).
