(LOT 29)
1933 Sea Raiders #45 Pirate's Legacy Montreal English Only PSA 8 NM-MT

AVAST!!!...
The 1933 R124 World Wide Gum Sea Raiders is one of the most coveted non-sports sets in the hobby and exceptionally rare if you are inclined to build a Master set of 144 known issues. The cards were released in three different styles: an English version with a Boston address (124), a Montreal English version with a Montreal address and a third version that features both English and French on the card backs. Consisting of pirates, ships and vessels, and pirate-themed cards, this set brings to life the 17th century when plunderers, scoundrels and scallywags sailed the seas in search of treasure. Offered here is a treasure map in the form of the 1933 World Wide Gum Sea Raiders #45 Pirate's Legacy (Montreal English only) in an 8 NM-MT holder from PSA. This is the highest graded example in the hobby and one of the highest graded Sea Raiders issues in all, as there are only seven 8.5s graded by PSA with an equal number of 9s earning a coveted holder. This treasure map, where "X" marks the spot, details in bold color the coordinates of the treasure to be paced off starting at the "Oak Tree". Delightful color and imagery display beautifully on this lithographic issue with excellent centering and razor-sharp edges and corners. Don't let some landlubber make off with this booty!
