1954 Dan-Dee Potato Chips Near-Complete Set with 7 PSA-Graded
The 1954 Dan-Dee Potato Chips 29-card baseball set remains one of the most sought-after regional/food issues from the 1950s with more than a third of the subjects enshrined at Cooperstown. Memory Lane is proud to offer this high-grade near-set that includes seven PSA encapsulated issues. Graded cards are as follows:
PSA 8: Curtis Roberts;
PSA 7: Monte Irvin, Bob Lemon & Al Lopez; and
PSA 6: Larry Doby, Phil Rizzuto & Early Wynn. Missing only from this incredible gathering are the anchor issues of Mickey Mantle, Duke Snider and Bob Feller offered separately in Lots #s 51-53. Those three lots plus this lot make a complete set. Overall, this near-set presents very clean with bright colors, excellent centering overall (with only a couple lesser) and surfaces almost completely devoid of the potato chip stains, an issue that far too often plagues this series.
