Hogan hit above .300 for four seasons in a row from 1928 to 1931. He also performed a vaudeville act with his Giants teammate, Andy Cohen. His 6'1", 240-pound frame was exceedingly rare in baseball at the time, and he was called "Shanty" because of his resemblance to a shack. Clean surface!
