1944 R59 American Beauties Complete Set on Uncut Sheet
RISQUE FOR THE '40s!!!...
Offered is a vibrant and alluring 1944 American Beauties 10" x 18-3/4" uncut sheet featuring 24 drawings of playful ladies from Gil Elvgren. This sheet has sustained only minimal display wear at the perimeter and the corners, but little can detract from the beauty of these Beauties. Very clean with two even neat folds in the borders that create a trifold, possibly for mailing purposes, but this is a sheet that surely ruffled some feathers in its day!
