TOPPS BASEBALL BOXES!!!...
The Topps Company's 1951 foray into the baseball card industry has become one of the most lucrative moves in manufacturing history around which this billion-dollar industry has been built. Cards, packs, boxes, cases and other Topps productions remain in high-demand and this assortment of Topps Baseball empty wax pack boxes is no exception. These high-grade issues have all been encapsulated by GAI and appear as follows: 1962 Topps Baseball Wax Box GAI 8 NM-MT, 1968 Topps Baseball Wax Box GAI 9 MINT, 1972 Topps Baseball Wax Box GAI 7 NM, 1956 Topps Baseball Wax Box GAI 6.5 EX-MT+, 1966 Topps Baseball Wax Box GAI 8 NM-MT, 1961 Topps Baseball Wax Box GAI 8 NM-MT & 1962 Topps Baseball Wax Box GAI 7.5 NM+. The grades set by GAI are in excess of 20 years old and grading standards have become stricter over the years, so it would probably be safe to downgrade each of these boxes by one grade each. Note that the 1972 box has some writing within the "S" of "Baseball". The casings and plastic holders do show marginal display and storage wear. Nevertheless, this is a super eye-catching assortment of wax boxes for the unopened collector!
