Tris Speaker Signed Letter JSA LOA
On Tris Speaker's personal letterhead, Speaker responds to a fan's request, explaining that he doesn't have any souvenirs to send but thanks him for the thoughtful letter. Dated August 17th, 1937, this letter was written in the same year that Speaker was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame as part of the inaugural class of inductees. Nicknamed "The Gray Eagle," Speaker was a three-time World Series champion, AL MVP, AL batting champion, AL home run leader, AL RBI leader, and a Boston Red Sox Hall of Famer.
