CHANCE BAT!!!...Discovered while playing college baseball at Washington College, Frank Chance was a natural leader and joined the Chicago Cubs in 1898, soon to be elevated to player/manager by 1905. That same year he took over at first base for the duration of his tenure with Chicago (1905-12) at first base. He was one-third of the famed Tinker-to-Evers-to-Chance double-play trio that led the Northsiders to National League pennants in 1906, ’07, ’08 & ’10. The Cubbies toppled the Ty Cobb-led Detroit Tigers in 1907 & ’08 to win the franchise’s first two titles. Offered here is an incredibly rare 12” black Frank Chance Decal mini bat commemorating the 1907 championship. This superb example is in Near-Mint condition with the entire decal virtually intact; the glimmering black finish remains in premium condition, and only the slightest amount of wear is evident on the barrel, though any nick or touch still features the original deep dark staining. This unbelievably rare commemorative mini bat from the Chicago Cubs Hall of Fame 1st baseman, Frank Chance, does not surface often, so now is the opportunity to acquire this rare relic.
