The 1957 Topps Hockey set is one of the most desirable in the hobby. Among the most important in the industry, the 66-card set featured 18 Hall of Famers and the inaugural issues of Johnny Bucyk, Glenn Hall, Pierre Pilote and Norm Ullman. The offered ungraded set is complete with seven PSA-graded examples including #s: PSA 8: 35 Sawchuk & 47 Wilson; PSA 7: 20 Hall & 40 Ferguson; PSA 6: 46 Ullman; and PSA 5: 10 Bucyk & 42 Howe. The set looks like it was plucked from vending only yesterday and remains unhandled. When initially viewed, it appears every card would appear NM or better with a disclaimer on centering due to quality control by Topps at the time. We would be remiss if we did not mention that a scant number of cards show a touch on a corner here and there as a result of the most careful storage that the 1950s had to offer. Four cards do show creases including #s: 25, 34, 36 & 65 which, with the exception of #65, appear to be factory creases. Current estimated value of just the graded cards is over $2,700.
