MIKITA ROOKIE!!!...Among Stan Mikita’ many awards, accolades and accomplishments, he was the first Slovak-born player to win a Stanley Cup. In today’s game, and since the early 1990s, players hail from all across the globe. But during the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s, traditionally NHLers came from Canada and the US. Mikita was, however, more than just an immigrant; he was a hockey player and one of the best forwards in the league from 1958 to 1980. Playing his entire 22-year career with the Chicago Black Hawks, Stosh scored 541 goals and added 926 assists playing alongside the likes of Hall of Famers Bobby Hull, Pierre Pilote, Phil Esposito and more. This high-grade 1960 Topps #14 Stan Mikita Rookie card graded 8 NM-MT by PSA would make a wonderful addition to any 1960 Topps gathering. Only five Mikita rookies have achieved a higher assessment and we can see why. Clean, bright, colorful and sharp all over with fantastic centering. This card is as Hall of Fame worthy as Stan, who was inducted in 1983.
