The lesser-known, 72-card 1952 Berk Ross Baseball set offers hand-painted images of players ranging from Joe D., the Say Hey Kid, Stan the Man, the Commerce Comet, the Splendid Splinter and Jackie. Featuring 26 Hall of Famers, these unnumbered issues are much rarer than their contemporaries with a little more than 6,700 graded as opposed to 315K Topps and 87K Bowman. Offered here is a partial 1952 Berk Ross baseball set (44/72), primarily ungraded, with a dozen PSA-graded examples including #s:
PSA 9: Mize;
PSA 8.5: Doerr;
PSA 8: Blackwell, Elliott, Kell, Reynolds, Roe & Schoendienst;
PSA 7: D. DiMaggio, Fain & Kiner; and
PSA 6: Irvin. Other key issues and conditions include: Fox (NM-MT OC) and Rizzuto Swinging (NM-MT OC). All cards included are pack-fresh with the vast majority of them appearing NM-MT, with the exception of centering which would lead them to be about 30% NM, 40% EX-MT, with the remaining being lesser. All downgrading is specifically due to grading, because the partial set appears as fresh as anyone could hope for.
Current estimated value of just the graded cards is over $2,700.
