In 2000, Tiger Woods was the undisputed greatest golfer on the planet, putting shame on every other pro who spent week after week chasing Woods to finish in second place. Starting the year in Hawaii with a win at the Mercedes, it turned out to be commonplace for the season as Eldrick "Tiger" Woods racked up nine victories including capturing his first major victories at the U.S. Open, The Open Championship (or British Open) and the PGA Championship. He had won the 1997 Master previously. It was the most wins in a season (9) by Tiger in his career and his dominance of the PGA Tour in the early 2000s was as consequential to the game of golf as the emergence of Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player in the 1950s and ‘60s. Because of Tiger Woods, fans across the globe, who rarely had access to the "gentlemen's game", hurried to their local links to learn the game. Offered here is a 2001 SP Authentic #TW Tiger Woods Sign of the Times - Red #'d 65 holdered GEM MINT 10 from PSA. This Red version number 23/65 has been signed in blue Sharpie, which PSA had assessed as PERFECT. With a "CONGRATULATIONS!" on the back, this card is one of the finest Tiger Woods examples in the hobby and incredibly rare. This is a hole-in-one in a GEM MINT 10 case.
