(LOT 1370)
1948 Baseball's Great Hall of Fame Exhibits Near-Set - All SGC-Graded

GREAT HOFers EXHIBITS!!!...
Produced by the Exhibit Supply Company (ESCO) out of Chicago, the 33-card 1948 W464 Baseball's Great Hall of Fame Exhibits feature the greatest Hall of Fame talent to ever step foot on a diamond until 1947. With 31 different HOFers and two Babe Ruths (of course), these 3-3/8" x 5-3/8" issues continue to carry favor among Exhibits collectors, no matter the grade or the subject, though The Babe still wears the crown. The tremendous blank-backed near-set offered here features 32 of the 33 issues, missing only Ruth Swinging Bat, and holds two SGC 5s and two 4.5s, twelve 4s, a pair of 3.5s, 11 SGC 3s and two SGC 2s. With every issue consisting of a Hall of Famer, highlights can be difficult to choose, but they do include Alexander (SGC 3), Cobb (SGC 3), Gehrig (SGC 3), Johnson (SGC 4), Mathewson (SGC 3), Ruth with Bats (SGC 2), Wagner (SGC 4.5) and Young (SGC 4).
