The 98-card 1948 Leaf Baseball set is an incredibly consequential series as not only the first color set following World War II, but also carrying the first-year editions of some of the greatest ballplayers in history. Where else can you find an attractively powerful set that boast generational talent like Babe Ruth, Satchel Paige, Jackie Robinson and Honus Wagner. Offered here is a marvelous 1948 Leaf partial set of 48 of the 98-card set. This desirable collection includes seven short prints in #s: 36, 48, 68, 104, 108, 129 and 163 that are primarily Good to VG or lesser. The remaining cards are 30% EX or better condition, 35% VG-EX and 35% VG or lesser. Key issues to this gathering include #s: 11 Rizzuto (VG), 46 Mize (VG+), 59 Appling (GOOD), 70 Wagner (VG) and 102 Hermansk Last Name Error (EX OC).
