1952 & 1953 Topps Childhood Collection of 236 Cards
TREASURE TROVE!!!...
Presented here is a wonderful selection of early Topps issues from the artful 1952 and 1953 series. This childhood collection includes: 43 ungraded 1952 Topps in overall VG condition with 20% lesser. Highlights include #36 Hodges (VG) & #65 Slaughter (FR - due to staining); and 193 ungraded 1953 Topps with 35% VG or better; 40% GOOD and the remainder appearing lesser. Highlights include: #27 Campanella (one is GOOD, one is VG), #54 Feller (FR), #86 Martin (both VG-EX), #114 Rizzuto (VG-EX), #162 Kluszewski (VG), #207 Ford (both PR), #263 Podres (FR), #264 Woodling (FR), #273 Haddix (GOOD), #280 Bolling (VG stained). Overall, this collection was obviously adored and well-loved, and never abused for Topps' earliest issues. This was surely a child's most coveted and prized gathering of heroes of baseball.
