1974-1980 Football Set Collection - 5 Sets
The 1970s was a decade of dominance by multiple teams as Miami, Dallas and Pittsburgh accounted for eight of the ten Super Bowl titles with Minnesota appearing four times in the big game and never winning. A virtual golden age of football, Hall of Fame quarterbacks were prevalent throughout the league including Oakland's Kenny Stabler, Dallas' Roger Staubach, Miami's Bob Griese, the Vikings' Fran Tarkenton and the Steelers' QB Terry Bradshaw. Though QBs often steal the spotlight for coveted issues, running backs and wide receivers deserve credit as well considering the league rostered Larry Csonka, John Riggins, Earl Campbell and Walter Payton.

Offered here is a collection of five 1970s to 1980 Football sets (1974, 1975, 1978, 1978 & 1980) with eight PSA 8 NM-MT examples (unless otherwise noted) including: 1975 Topps #282 Swann; 1978 Topps #315 Dorsett (PSA 4); 1979 Topps #198 Largent, #300 Harris, #387 Fouts, #390 Campbell; and 1980 Topps #225 Simms. This collection is overall 75% NM or better. It appears as though all these sets came from vending and are very high-grade and unhandled. The #315 Dorsett PSA 4 had factory creasing, substantiating the lower grade.
