1970 Topps Basketball Complete Set with Five PSA-Graded
1970 TALL TOPPS!!!...
For the second year in a row, Topps created a supersized 1970 Topps Basketball card set. The offered set also featured five PSA graded examples including: PSA 8: 160 West; PSA 7: 50 Chamberlain; PSA 6: 123 Maravich; and PSA 5: 75 Alcindor & 137 Murphy. Overall, this set displays EX to EX-MT condition with key issues included with grades as follows in #s: 1 Kareem/West (EX-MT OC), 2 West/Kareem (EX-MT OC), 10 Havlicek (EX), 13 Riley (VG-EX), 20 Monroe (EX), 24 Checklist (EX-MT OC), 65 Baylor (EX-MT), 70 Hayes (EX-MT), 100 Robertson (EX OC), 101 Checklist (EX-MT OC), 120 Frazier (Appears EX-MT but has a slight tear in the lower border), 135 DeBusschere (EX-MT), 150 Reed (EX-MT), 171 NBA - West (EX-MT), 173 NBA - Wilt (EX-MT) and 174 NBA - Frazier (EX-MT OC). In all likelihood, because of the size, there was some damage due to storage, but the set still maintains a fresh and virtually unhandled appearance. Current estimated value of just the graded cards is over $1,100.
