(LOT 1713)
Bruce Springsteen Signed Fender Squire Stratocaster Guitar
BOSS AUTO!!!...
When he was only 15 years old in 1964, Bruce Springsteen purchased his first guitar from a Western Auto store in Freehold, NJ. With two records to his name, Greetings from Asbury Park and The Wild, and The Innocent and the E Street Shuffle each released in 1973, the Boss produced his first #1 album in 1975 with Born to Run. He has since had eight additional #1 LPs included in his 21 studio albums, has won 20 Grammys and won one Academy Award for Best Song (Streets of Philadelphia) in 1993. Offered is a gorgeous flat-white 1996-97 Fender Stratocaster Squire guitar signed by the Boss in black Sharpie on the lower body. It is considered a near-impossibility to find Springsteen's autograph on a guitar.
A Fender enthusiast himself, Springsteen's signature is massive (approx. 5" x 11") and the profound focal point despite the Fender's legendary brand stature. The pickguard shows a small discoloration above the bridge from a pick proudly being displayed with this phenomenal signed instrument. Light breaks in the signature are evident on his last name as likely from the fur-lined case, but this has to be the most prominent Bruce Springsteen autograph we have ever offered, which just happens to reside on a Fender Stratocaster, "the quintessential electric guitar". Includes a Letter from Roger Epperson and a PSA/DNA LOA.
