JIM THORPE!!!...Few athletes were more dominant in the 1910s than the inimitable Jim Thorpe, whose career accolades include Olympic gold medals in the decathlon and pentathlon in 1912 (Stockholm), stints in the NFL with the Canton Bulldogs, among others, and the Major Leagues with the New York Giants, et al. Presented is a circa-1910s Jim Thorpe Type 1 Brown Brothers photograph encased Authentic by PSA/DNA. This 4" x 6-1/8" borderless image remains in superior condition of the jack-of-all-sports standing on what appears to be a ship deck. Multiple Brown Brothers stampings are visible on the back. Only minor corner creasing is evident with slight paper loss at the bottom right, but nothing can detract from the central image of arguably the greatest athlete to ever live, Jim Thorpe.
