This 1947 MLI contract for Louisville Colonels player Rudolph Heflin is signed by Hall of Famer, Thomas Yawkey, longtime owner of the Boston Red Sox, and Bruce Dudley, then president of the Colonels. Yawkey, who led the Red Sox for 44 seasons, was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1980. Dudley, a prominent sports editor turned executive, guided the Colonels from 1938 to 1948. A notable piece linking two key baseball figures in a post-war player transaction. PSA/DNA LOA.
